Sands back on the building site on Cotai

Las Vegas Sands has confirmed it is about to restart construction work on the Cotai Strip which will ultimately see it open three luxury hotels with circa 3,700 rooms and casino facilities with 670 gaming tables and 2,200 slot machines. Steve Jacobs, the company's Macao president, said they are recruiting in the region of 10,000 people to start work on lots five and six of the project after being halted for more than a year. The first phase is expected to open June 2011.
