Peter Eastgate quits pokerFormer World Champion Peter Eastgate has announced his retirement from poker at the tender age of 25. Maybe it was too much too young for the 2008 World Champion, who achieved the absolute peak of poker success at just 22-years-old.

"When I started playing poker for a living, it was never my goal to spend the rest of my life as a professional poker player," said Eastgate. "My goal was to become financially independent. I achieved that by winning the WSOP Main Event in 2008."

Eastgate was a tremendous ambassador for poker and we wish him all the best. Let's hope he doesn't forget his old muckers from the poker world.
