Ace to Five Triple Draw
Ace to Five Triple Draw is played exactly like Deuce to Seven Triple Draw, except the rank of the hands is different. Here you also try to make the lowest hand possible, but this time the ace does count as lowest card. Straights and flushes don't work against you here. This means that the best possible hand you can have is
. This is called "The Wheel".
is the next best hand, etc.
Ace to Five Triple Draw uses the same betting structure as Texas Hold'em. During the first two betting rounds, the limit is the small bet. So if it's a 1/2 game, you can call or raise with 1 during the first two rounds, and in the last two rounds you can call or raise with 2. Of course you can also play the Pot Limit or No Limit variation.
Round 1: the Blinds
All players place a blind bet. This is just like Texas Hold'em, divided between the small blind and the big blind. Each player gets his turn because the button goes clockwise. For instance if you play a $1/$2 limit game, the small blind is half the minium bet ($0,50) and the big blind is the minimum bet ($1).
Round 2: five closed cards dealt
All players then get 5 closed cards.
