Crazy Pineapple

Crazy Pineapple is a variation of Texas Hold'em. The biggest differences are that with Crazy Pineapple you get three pocket cards (hole cards) instead of two, and you are obligated to drop one pocket card after the flop. Crazy Pineapple uses the same betting structure as Texas Hold'em. During the first two rounds the limit is the small bet. So, if it's a 1/2 game, you can call or raise by 1 during the first two rounds, and by 2 in the last two rounds. Of course you can also play the Pot Limit or No Limit variation.

Round 1: the Blinds

Suppose that the bets would be $1/$2, the player on the left side of the dealer (the small blind) places half the minimum bet ($0,50) and the player next to him (the big blind) places the whole minimum bet ($1).

Round 2: three closed cards dealt

All players then get 3 closed cards.

For instance: (for instance that only you can see)

1st preflop betting round
The first betting round starts at the player on the left of the big blind. This player needs to place the minimum bet of $1. He can also decide to raise, or fold. All other players can call, fold or even re-raise.

Round 3: the Flop

When the first betting round has ended, the dealer places three more cards on the middle of the table. This is called the flop. The players in the game now have three closed cards and threeopen cards. However, each player has to throw away one of his holecards. In this example it is wise to throw away because you could either make a flush or a straight. After this the game is exactly played like Texas Hold'em.

The flop is for instance:   .

2nd betting round
The second round starts at the player left of the dealer. You now have a chance to make a heart flush if the turn is also hearts. Or you could make a straight if the turn is a jack or a six. You now can bet, call, raise, re-raise, check or fold.

Round 4: the Turn

The dealer places a fourth card next to the flop. This is called the turn card. The whole process starts all over again. Bet, call, raise, re-raise, check or fold.

The turn is for instance:

3rd betting round
The third round starts at the player left of the dealer. The whole process starts all over again. Bet, call, raise, re-raise, check or fold.

This fourth card did not strengthen your hand. To make a winning hand you have a last chance on a heart card on the river or a 6 or a jack to make a straight.

Round 5: the River

Another open card is added to the cards already open on the table. In total, there are now five cards open on the middle of the table. This fifth card is called the river card. And again, the whole process starts again: Bet, call, raise, re-raise, check or fold.

The river is for instance:         .

4th and last betting round
The fourth round starts at the player left of the dealer. The whole process starts all over again. Bet, call, raise, re-raise, check or fold.

The river has turned your hand into a flush (      ).

Showdown

The players still in the game show the cards they were given at the beginning of the game. The player with the best hand, wins the pot.
