Deuce to Seven Triple Draw

At Deuce to Seven Triple Draw (2-7 Triple Draw) it's about the worst possible hand. The ace does not count as lowest, but as highest card. The game is a "draw" variation, which means that you get five cards and can throw away zero to five cards right away. For the cards you throw away, you get new cards. At Triple Draw, each player can exchange cards three times. You can also choose to keep your cards at every draw.

At 2-7 Triple Draw, straights and flushes do count but aren't very beneficial to get the lowest hand as they're bad combinations. The ace is always high by the way. The best possible hand you can have, without it being a flush, is . This hand is also called the "wheel". The next best hand, again without it being a flush, is .

Deuce to 7 Triple Draw has the same betting structure as Texas Hold'em. During the first two rounds, the limit is the small bet. So if it's a 1/2 game, you can only call or raise by 1 during the first two rounds. During the last two rounds, you can call and raise by 2. Of course you can also play the Pot Limit or No Limit variation.

Round 1: the Blinds

Suppose that the bets would be $1/$2, the player on the left side of the dealer (the small blind) places half the minimum bet ($0,50) and the player next to him (the big blind) places the whole minimum bet ($1).

Round 2: five closed cards dealt

All players then get 5 closed cards.

For instance:
